We’ve moved

Thanks for hanging in there through all of the uproar and chaos. Our new home at our new, permanent address is finished and open for business at http://seldoviamusicfestival.org/.

We won’t be posting over here any more, and all of the updates will be at the new location. If you’ve bookmarked this site or subscribed to this RSS feed or emailed updates, you’ll need to visit the subscription page over there for the new feed instructions.

Moving sites: chaos may ensue

Our apologies to you if you’ve fled here from our new site-in-the-works at http://seldoviamusicfestival.org/. We’re in the process of installing and customizing a new site there, and things could get pretty ugly at times in the process. But we’re very excited about having a real domain name and a site where we can do just what we like, one that will be around for a long time to come.

Really: we think this is going to be our last move, and we’re totally grateful to our readers who have hung in there as we moved from our old xyz.net site to here at wordpress.com (we thank them for the free hosting service they’ve provided) and, soon, to our permanent location.

So during this interim, the best reading is here. It’s got all of the stuff that’s going to be moved to the new site, only with less construction uproar.

As soon as the dust settles, we’ll post an update here, directing you permanently to the new location. Until then, feel free to explore this site and if you have any unanswered festival questions, don’t hesitate to email our press correspondent at press@seldoviamusicfestival.org or the festival director at director@seldoviamusicfestival.org.

Welcome to our new home

Thanks for following us to our newest location. We hope you’ll like what you see here. In case you’re wondering why we’ve moved, it’s about more features; a cleaner look for you, the reader; a better interface for us, the content providers; and smoother portability to our (we hope) own hosting sometime in the future.

There’s more information about the festival here at our new home—just look at those rows of links across the top and in our lefthand sidebar. Our archives remain intact and you can revisit past festivals using the archive tab above.

One of the features of this new site we want to especially highlight is the many ways you can keep up with news about the festival. Sure, you can come here as often as you like to read what we’ve added. But to stay current without that effort and to be sure you don’t miss anything important and timely, check out the options on our subscribe page—we think you’ll find some of them to be pretty handy.

And one last note, about the comment feature. We’re happy to have your comments here. We especially love it when you tell us all about your experiences at the festival (we’ll have a feature just for that in our annual festival wrap-up post). But just to let you know, we value civil discourse and will be deleting any comments that are spam, commercial links, or just plain rude.
